Welcome;
Welcome to Tasera, the site made for Women, by Women. Our mission is to bring the women of Myst together in one meeting place, to share our joys, our sorrows, our experiences, our lives. If you've never been here before, or you aren't sure what all this means, pull up a seat and read on.
The Story;Cyan created a new world for us. In the beginning, it was called Myst. We were brought to this wonderous world by means of a computer game of the same name. The story was rich, we were all intrigued. Through subsequent games called Riven, Exile, Revelation, End of Ages, and Uru, we learned that the story was much more than just one island called Myst. We learned of D'ni, the ancient cavern beneath our very own feet, and of the Art of Writing Ages. We learned of the story of Atrus, the main character in Myst, and his family. His history, intwined with ours, is why this site exists.
This site is named for Atrus' great grandmother, Tasera, of D'ni. Tasera and Kahlis bore Aitrus, who appalled many of D'ni by marrying an ahrotahntee, an outsider, by the name of Anna. It was Anna, renamed Ti'ana, who's kind-heartedness allowed a man to live and destroy the beautiful city of D'ni. She and Aitrus escaped to the surface along with their child, Gehn, while most of the city perished. Gehn grew, married a woman named Keta, and left his son Atrus in the care of Anna when Keta died in childbirth.
D'ni, the city beneath, was born of the Art. With special ink and paper, the D'ni wrote books which could link their people to other worlds, Ages, in which a vast array of creation could be found. It opened a whole new universe for us to explore. And we did.
So come join us. Follow the navigation at the top and become one of the Women of D'ni. With us.
